| Processor Installation Precautions |
|

There are some basic precautions that are recommended during the processor installation process.
- Please ground yourself to avoid any electrostatic discharge.
- Hold the processor from the edges to avoid touching any of the golden pins or contacts at the bottom of the processor.
- At any given time do not force the processor into the socket. The processor should be gently seated into the motherboard socket.
- For FC-PGA2 type processors (processors with pins at the bottom) extra care is needed in gently guiding the processor into the motherboard socket. Applying unusual pressure can cause the pins to bend and break which can void the warranty.
- The processor will only fit in the socket in one direction. Pin1 on the processor needs to be mathced with Pin1 on the motherboard socket. Pin1 is generally marked both on processor and the motherboard socket.
- Please do not operate the processor without a proper fan or heatsink.
- Feel free to call our Sales department at 888-858-3088 for any pre-sales support questions.
